Why do we love flower bars you ask?

  • They make the best favor! It’s not often that a person gets to stand in front of a display of beautiful flowers and have the opportunity to create a customized bouquet of their favorite flowers. To be honest, it is a fun party game that everyone wants to play!
  • It is a favor that the guest will bring home and enjoy all week – reminding then of the good time they had with family and friends at the event. When the flowers are no longer fresh they can compost them without having to kind a place to store them (or feel guilty about throwing them away).
  • Flower bars are beautiful! Your guests can enjoy looking at them throughout the event as a focal point or an accent. The flower bar can also be used as the backdrop for group photos.

Flower Bars are Customizable:

  • They can be adapted to your style or incorporate a special meaning. In the picture above, having a bicycle at her shower held a special meaning for the bride so we fashioned her flower bar into a cart being pulled the bike. We try to make each flower bar special to the bride or guest of honor.
  • I have dressed flowers on an antique dresser with beautiful flowers in colored glasses vases to give that vintage feel for events at wineries.
  • You can also have your favorite flower a prominent feature (season permitting).

Flower bars can be a great additions to so many different events :

  • Flower bars are excellent for bridal showers, baby showers, intimate weddings and other events.
  • They are very fun at bachelorette parties – add some wine, charcuterie boards and good friends and it makes for a great night.
  • They even work really well for work events – that are a good activity for team building.

Here a Deerwood we like to make the experience special – I hand pick a special bouquet for the bride or guest of honor it is then displayed on the bar throughout the event – the bouquet is presented to the bride or guest of honor signifying the opening of the flower bar. As part of the flower bar each guest bouquet, upon completion, is wrapped in kraft paper and tied with satin ribbon to look like a present.
